Youth Support
Roots Research Center NGO is proud to announce the launch of the Youth Information Center. The Youth Information Center offers activities and services for young people who live in or have left residential care, Careleavers. Our aim is to facilitate socialization and a smooth transition from institutional care into the community.
The goal is to develop the transition skills necessary for young people’s integration into the community after leaving residential or foster care.
An important prerequisite for the independence and socialization of these young people is to develop social and vocational skills that will help them cope with any adversity they might encounter during their transition process. Because this transition period has many difficulties at psychological and emotional levels, it is of equal importance to provide psychological support.

For this purpose, expert and experienced colleagues of the Centre offer psychosocial support and employment counselling to young people who have left or are leaving alternative forms of care (institutions and foster families).
Personal development groups will be formed to provide psychological support and enhance their self esteem. Furthermore, individual and group meetings will be organized that will focus on professional orientation, job research skills, sex education, home economics, and everyday social skills. At the same time the youth participating in our programs will have the opportunity to partake in cultural and recreational activities where they will have the opportunity to further broaden their interests and social skills.
The Youth Information Centre will strengthen and facilitate autonomy, independence and quality in living for young people.
To achieve our targets cooperation will be necessary. We invite you to encourage youth participation in our programs. We are open to ideas and suggestions that can further enhance our work.
